Cuzzy's Sauce was created by Shirley Wood, daughter of Bernie C. Papy, a 14-term Florida House Representative. Mr. Papy represented the Florida Keys for nearly three decades, and after his death in 1964, the Seven Mile Bridge was named in his honor.
Shirley, a fourth-generation native of Key West, developed the sauce originally for stone crabs back in the '70s. Her youngest son, Bruce (Cuzzy), has since found many more uses for the sauce, such as on fish, shrimp, lobster, beef, chicken, vegetables... you name it !
We hope you find this family recipe enjoyable as Cuzzy's family has for the past thirty years.
